"Grandma Mafia takes over Warsaw..." by Bernski

What is up with the old ladies in this city. It doesn't matter if I am waiting in a line at the store or trying to get on a tram, the G-Ma Mafia is there to gangster me out of position. Everyday some old sea-hag will elbow and push her way through to make sure she is the first one on or off the tram. I actually had a lady try to pull me out of my seat so she could sit.

Now I kindly give up my seat to the elderly because i respect the elderly and i understand that they are frail. My problem is that it is not only expected, but demanded. I for one believe that if they are strong enough to push me out of the way, they are strong enough to stand...

This kind of behavior would never happen in the states, but then again we don't ride public transportation either. Secondly we have a better system to take care of our elderly. Maybe that is the problem...they've been living in a "survival of the fittest" scenario their whole lives.

This is the most recent picture of the "God Mother" of the G-Ma Mafia. If you see her use extreme caution, do not attempt to approach her and notify the proper authorities immediately!

I understand and agree wholeheartedly. I feel for the G-Mas of Warsaw, I really do. They grew up in a Communist era, most did not work, and they spent a lot of their time raising children at home. I think they feel it's time they received some respect! A word of advice: Don't get in their way man, they'll take you out with one swift blow of the elbow.

For those of you wanting to take advantage of the G-Ma mafia power, walk behind them out of the tram, bus or metro. With their sharp elbows they'll have a lane cleared out in front of them for easy passage, guaranteed
