"Pola Mokotowskie and Entertainment" by mAro

In Warsaw on Pola Mokotwskie (nice summer beer place with Lolek, Bolek etc. ) there is a plan to build a huge tent to make it more entertaining place for concerts and other gigs like football games transmissions or trade shows. It may be 7 floors high and for even 8K people. Nice.....though local residents for obvious reasons do not like that idea as already the place is wild and full of bad bad young people for are having fun......so it may not happen :(

I do like to have at least one place that is entertaining or simply place where all drinking youths go. Pola were always loud so I would not choose this place to live however many people already were living there.... I am sure if you would say - 1000 PLN per month for any citizen with windows going on to Pola it would be for sure pure silence :)) However the other neighbors would start suffering pigeons, cars, bad weather and other things to get refund :)

It is always the money - somebody will earn and have fun - I do not like that for sure ;)

My friend "Markski" owns a home right next to the park. Almost directly in front of the area proposed for the tent site. Everyone from his neighborhood is pissed off about this project. He is from New york and he says it would be like building a giant tent in Central Park...it just wouldn't happen. Now when he would like to take his family on a walk in the park he will have to walk past this atrocity before he can enjoy the landscape. Plus this area is where everyone takes their dogs to run and play. It is also a huge sanctuary for birds. There are huge groups of trees that birds live in. I'm sure that will be ruined as well. All in all it just goes to show that, once again, while Warsaw officials are trying to do something good for the community, they just aren't thinking it through clearly.
